The F2MFilteringRulesCreate function is used to create filtering rules that are applied to email received by the Fax2Mail system that would normally be forwarded to the appropriate Fax2Mail administrator. While administrators might be interested in getting legitimate replies (bounces, inadvertent replies) the filtering feature can help winnow out unwanted or unsolicited messages by creating a set of rules for checking email before sending it on to the administrator. These rules are stored in the EasyLink system in a systemdata stored object named "F2M_ADMIN_MAIL_FILTERING_RULES".

Because different rules can exist at multiple levels (user/group/customer), more than one set of rules may actually be applied to the email for a particular administrator.
