Get the current status of a job Use the JobDeliveryStatus API to get the current status of a job. OpenText recommends you do not request the job delivery status for at least a few minutes after you get the response to the JobSubmit API. This time varies depending on the complexity of your job. If the response to the job delivery status request contains the status of Posted, Delivered, or Completed, further checking is not needed (except for email jobs if post-delivery events are of interest). If the Result shows an error, look for the gammacode and description following the State under DeliveryDetail. If the error shows a busy or no answer, try JobDeliveryStatus again based on your Retry setting, and wait another few minutes after the Retry time has passed. Proceed based on the new result. If a hard error is received, such as “Too Few Dial Digits” or “Invalid Number,” correct the issues (see https://apiforums.easylink.com/content/gamma-codes).
